Bottle...luxurious, velvety, creamy, delicious...you can really taste the malt, coffee, and milk flavors in this. Nice dark color, rich, amber-colored head. Complex. My favorite stout.

Oct 7, 2008 My sister brought me this from Total Wine in Charlotte. Almost a black pour with a smallish tan head. Aroma is very much llike a chocolate malt ball. Flavor is roasty and full of chocolate notes. Very creamy beer. These guys sure know how to brew some winners.

Oct 5, 2008 Poured dark black color. This was very creamy which must be expected. A bit of chocolate under tones made it feel like chocolate milk.

Oct 3, 2008 Easily accessible beer here in Raleigh. Pours a deep black with a billowy tan head. Aroma is rich and sweet. Taste is sweet, chocolaty, Creamy and a nice texture to this beer. Aftertaste is roasty and a bit smokey. Very good beer.

Sep 30, 2008 I love the sweet stout style and this one lives up to it’s name. Looks great, pouringinky black and capped with a mountainous tan head. Nice lacing adds to the picture as you drink it down. Aroma is decent with milk chocolate notes, but not outstanding. Flavor is amply chocolately with a nice creamed coffee note and perhaps a bit of soy sauce. The mouthfeel is where this one really shines, however, as it is slick, creamy and very full bodied, yet not syrupy. Well done!

Sep 30, 2008 Pours black with a finger of tan head (although the first time I tried this beer at a restaurant, the head was so big that it was barely drinkable). This brew has a very roasty aroma and taste. It is fairly sweet and has milk chocolate notes that are balanced out by the roasty, almost burnt finish.
