COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

12 ounce bottle- poured a beautiful chestnut brown with a thick khaki head. Plenty of lacing. Aroma was chocolate and coffee, spoiled somewhat by a slight boggy undertone. Tasted exactly like a milk stout should, chocolate, coffee and roast malt, wonderful. Palate was thick and filling. duck Rabbit is two-for-two so far in my book.

Bottle to snifter (shared with jmborggren; thanks burg326). Looks good; cola with light beige lacing. Smells solid too; dark malt and a bit of roast. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Perfect black color. Nice toasted nose that leaves you thinking the roasted malt are about to hit you with an over the top bitterness. The toasted malt is balanced very well with the sweetness, Damn. Nice head with good lacing to completion.

2013-05-20. Black body, small tan head. 3++ Sweetish aroma, light roast. Hints of lactose might be psychological. 7+ Flavour is similar, sweetish malt, very light dry roast, dusty undertones. Lactose sweetness in the finish then mild dry roast long into the aftertaste. 7+ Smooth average bodied palate. Pretty decent, enjoyable. Bottle via trade with jprime.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2013 Bottle at The Fortunate Glass in Wilmington. Black pour with small white head. Big roasted coffe notes and a bit of lactose. Flavor follows with lots of roasty. Prickly carbonation between sweet waves of lactose. A bit thin but not watery by any means. Solid for the style.

Pours black with a creamy tan head. The aroma has a nice sweetness to it with chocolate and roast malt. The flavor has a lot of chocolate, the roast malt and a hint of smoke. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells of chocolate. Very smooth to drink. Initial sip is strong but then mellows into a nice chocolatey taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint on tap. Almost black, but translucent. Nice small head, good lacing. I agree with the description for the most part. It has a great sweet taste, very easy to drink, light body, just perfect. Wow, just really good. I like this style more every time I drink it.

From a 12oz bottle in a standard beer glass at Ventnor Sports Cafe in Adams Morgan, celebrating the Hawks win over Detroit in WCSF game 1. Pours a very dark black mahogany with a tan head that dissolves to tan lacing and an oil film. Flavor of rich dark chocolate followed by slight roast coffee finish. Nicely sweet and milky smooth. Very enjoyable after dinner beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very smooth. Tastes great alone. Not sure what would pair with it though. I recommend this to anyone who doesn't like the taste of beer but wants to have something great to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, BOTM. Black, opaque, with frothy tan head. Sweet, a little like chocolate milk and cornflakes aroma with delicate roastiness. Tastes sweetish, hints of lactic sourness, bittersweet chocolate and some sweetened coffee. Full bodied, fizzy yet smooth and easy to drink. Chocolate remains on the tongue after swallowing.
