Very dark in color. This robust porter features a pronounced flavor of roasted grains reminiscent of dark chocolate. Also, Paul and Brandon add oats to the grist to give a subtle round silkiness to the mouthfeel.

Bottle into snifter glass, rich dark brown color with dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, ash and light coffee. Taste adds notes of chocolate, coffee grounds, char and slight bitter fruitiness. Light body, moderate carbonation, somewhat tannic, thin with slight roast finish. IMHO a solid porter, more on the ashy/woody side.

Appearance: this beer pours with a tiny tan head, the beer is a deep black opaque color with the tiniest bit of deep maroon hues on the colors Aroma: chocolate, kind of faint, smoke Taste: chocolate, moderate sweetness, some coffee bitterness, Palate: medium mouthfeel, coffee aftertaste, average carbonation Overall: a bit chocolate heavy for my taste, but still not bad, a decent porter that's not very sweet ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This porter has roughly foaming and partially renewable foam. It emits a powerful and delicious aroma of roasted malt with distinct coffee notes. The taste is initially a little water, but quickly reveals the coffee and English licorice on a malty background of roasted character. Not so many special qualities of this porter, only one type of right and good porter who has just what such a one must have

Bottle: Dark dark color with a tan head. Sweet malty aroma with sweet malty roasted tastes. Full bodied with a smooth aftertaste. It’s nice to have a porter that isn’t overly charcoal bitter aftertaste.
