Dec 19, 2008 Old bottle I had sitting around. Black. Lots of roasted malt with a fruity sweetness that tasted like cherries, perhaps? Booze was fairly noticable as this warmed, got a little tough to drink

Dec 17, 2008 Bottle thanks to riversideAK. Pours motor oil dark with nice sized tan head. Big hit of coffee on the nose. Flavor is dark roasted coffee, with hint of smoke and chocolate. Very rich and smooth texture with a nice warm alcohol finish.

Dec 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours an oily black with a small tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, coffee. Taste is the same as aroma with a touch of lactic sourness in the finish. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol.

Dec 5, 2008 Sampled at the Great Decatur Beer Tasting Festival in Georgia on 10/18/08. Ptich black in appearance. Sweet malt aroma. Taste of caramel, malt and cocoa. Some bitterness and tartness, which reminded me of a baltic porter.

Dec 1, 2008 Flat black pour with just a faint khaki head. Tons of excess alcohol throughout, to boozy. Thinner bodied with lingering dark chocolate and coffee. Soft hint of port and cherry in the finish. Enjoyable flavor, but the booziness just got in the way, might need some aging.

Nov 27, 2008 Pours with almost no head. Good flavor. This is an extremely smooth imperial stout. The flavor is chocolate covered cherry mixed with sugary goo, similar to a Cadbury egg. It’s candy!

Nov 21, 2008 Pours black with a dark tan head and decent lacing. Great chocolaty and coffee aroma. Roasty flavor with some dark fruits, chocolate, coffee and hops. I like the the way that the sweetness is balanced by the bitter chocolate and hops.
