The aroma rising off this beer is incredible...bitter chocolate, dry roasted coffee, and a hint of fruitiness. Flavor is fairly sweet with the more dominant brown sugar, toffee, and caramel making their way up from (the chocolate is there but plays 2nd fiddle). Finishes somewhat bitter. A solid RIS!!! Aroma is sweet sugars, and toasted malts. Maybe a hint of coffee bean. Flavor is very full, with dark flavors of roasted malts, and dark fruits, sweet throughout and a slightly warm finish. Spicy hops are present in the finish. Really enjoyed this. Dogbrick (2855), Columbus, Ohio, USA

This beer pours a flat black color with a thin brown head that recedes slowly. Stringy lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and toffee at first, followed by coffee and dark fruit. Rich body with flavors of chocolate, coffee, plum and malt. The finish is malty with notes of dark berry. Enjoyable all around. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Pours dark black with a short lived tan head. Smell is dark, pudding like, sweet dried fruits and figgy, especially. Taste is sweetish, fruity and pudding like again with a rich flavor and a somewhat strong hoppy finish to balance as well. Pretty good, and likely one of my favorite if not favorite, Duck Rabbit brews. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA

Brown black with a thin watery tan head. Smell is a nice roasted malt and fruit. Flavor is sweet and fruity and enjoyable. Good medium body. Unique and drinkable but not the most potent imperial stout. jimbowood (953), Athens, Georgia, USA
