Pretty black. The aroma is milky, roasty, with a hint of molasses. Thick, rich brew. Molasses and stinging roast throughout, with an alcohol tickle down the throat. I’m not terribly enthusiastic about this one - it’s all stinging roast and doesn’t offer much nuance. The character isn’t as rounded with lush sugars as a typical DR brew.

bottle. so very black, thin brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee. Hit me like a sledgehammer, tobacco, coffee, thick and with prominent alcohol. Did someone pour a shot of bourbon in my beer?

Pours a pitch black color with a thin light brown head. Very good aroma and flavor of roasted malt and chocolate with a bitter finish, it’s powerfull without being too aggressive. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Very good, very well done.

Oily and black with a brown head. Lots of chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Definately felt this one as it went down. The flavor was a little burnt for my taste. Good though.....

Pours very black with big brown head. Very sweet aroma with plenty of coffee. Definately has a lot of alcohol. There even seemed to be hints of bourbon/whisky. I really liked it of course I rarely meet a stout I don’t

I haven’t had an impy stout in a couple of months and the break has made me appreciate these puppies a little more. Slight alcohol bit to the end of this one that is a little dissapointing. Bittersweet chocolate and coffee flavors. Licorice and coffee aromas. Leaves your mouth with a sticky sweet flavor. Decent beer but that alcohol needs to go away.

The winner from this tasting. An absolutly lovely smelling beer. A nice coffee with a decent malt foundation. A rich dark head. Getting sour earthy flavors. Good
