Can from Whole Foods in Little Rock, Arkansas. Clear, copper body. A ton of effervescence. White bubbly collar. Breads, malls, nuts in the aroma. Lots of pecan character. Mildly sweet with a light, but not thin, body. Pecan character is stronger in the flavor than in the aroma. Over for me in as advertised. Fun.

Pours a chestnut brown color with an extremely crazy out of control khaki head. I’m not sure how I should consider the head. I guess I’ll consider the look I get after it finally settles and I get a good look at it. More on that later.
Aroma is of pecans. Unfortunately, I’m picking up too much pecan shells, and, I’m hoping that’s not in the taste. There’s a very different taste between pecan meat, and pecan shells. Besides that I’m picking up some caramel, and some good malts. It also smells sweet.
Interesting taste. Yep, it has the basic brown ale body and character. But I do taste pecans, and maybe a little brown sugar. Maybe some vanilla. There’s some bittersweeetness at the end, it’s odd. There might be a metallic taste in there.
Mouthfeel is actually pretty good. It’s pretty drinkable. It has a slight pecan sourness. You’ll know what I’m talking about. It does lean toward a full bodied taste.
Overall, this is pretty good. I think they do a good job of joining brown ale and pecans. It’s better than I expected. This is worth a try. I just dinged it a point for appearance because it pours really weird.
