Keg @ CPK. Man, theyíve held onto this one for a while! The pourís a hazy light amber color with a medium white head. The nose is countryside, famhouse, light orchard fruits and zippy citrus. The taste is more countryside, earthy yeast. Hints of brett. Light fruit salad. Chalky. A bit of pepper. Smooth drinking. Overall, pretty nice stuff.

On tap at CPK, London. It pours a yellow colour with a medium white head. Aroma is hoppy with loads of citrus, orange peel, farmhouse yeast, hay and barnyard. Taste has a strong presence of Belgian yeast, slightly sours, nice citrus and lemon peel. Overall, a great farmhouse IPA.

Draft at Farmersí Cabinet. Pours a cloudy golden yellowish-orange color with a two finger frothy white head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing coat the glass. Musty, spicy aroma with a nice balance of farmhouse funk, earthy hops and sweet fruits. †Hints of bready yeast, pepper, pineapple, orange zest and lemon peel as well as a faint pale malt presence. Slightly chewy and much fuller than expected with a strong saison/farmhouse funk up front thatís quickly countered by a complex hop profile. †Earthy grass, straw, light fruit and zesty, peppery spice followed by grassy, piney hops before finishing sweet with lots of grapefruit and orange zest. †Just a touch herbal with a sweet yet dry finish. †The ABV is invisible, making it extremely drinkable. †Really nice saison/ ipa hybrid.

On tap at Farmerís Cabinet, Philly. Another fairly boring but reasonably competent brew, micro-poured and macro-priced. Hazy straw gold pour, well carbonated. Nose is interesting, with dry hops, yeast, and spice, with only a mild bouquet of fruits to make this seem less like a functional saison than at first blush. Certainly more floral hops to taste, and the lively mouthfeel brings out a decent interplay between pepper and fruit. Long bitter finish too.

DiarmaidBHK (3347) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2012
Draft at Farmers Cabinet. Pours light orange with a thin white head. Slight floral note on the nose. Far amount of hop bitterness on the tongue with floral notes. It was very dry at first but mellowed a bit as it warmed. Solid but not spectacular.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Cloudy yellow, fine fluffy head. Lemon aroma - very inviting. Belgian yeast, bisquits, oranges, a little farmyard and funkiness in the background. Lovely.

Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours clear, bright yellow with a fine, white foam head. Very sturdy head, indeed. Lots of zesty, bright citrus on the nose with some dough, dry yeast and grass. Medium to big sweet flavor with lemon, orange, passion fruit and a bit of hay. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with some dry hay, white sugar, dry grass, light yeast. A very nice IPA hybrid. Could be just a touch less sweet, but overall it is very nice.
