3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Presented in a frosty glass. Initial smell was of clean glass that scented of dishwasher. No head, no lacing, just beer. Orange color with citrus hints. Manitoba grown ingredients and a valiant attempt at keeping it local. I would encourage mass consumption to encourage more local breweries.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle given to me by my brother. Pours an am bearish hue, fluffy white head that dies to a ring with a thin film. No lacing. Nose is a-typical lagers, sweet, taste that is bitter initially, then dies to malt.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured from 473mL can. Clear, golden yellow orange with dissipating white head to nothing. Grainy malt aroma with mild funk. Slight sweet grain malt. A tad bit watery, but not bad for a lager.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
From my dear brother: Pours light orange with barely any head. Aroma is lightly bready, sweet malts. Taste is a slightly sweet lager. This is certainly not impressive. Nothing offensive, but hardly anything to write home about.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2013 Tried this beer the instant it was released. Had such an unfavourable impression of it that I decided not to review/rate it until later.
8/9 months later I had the chance to try this again.
The best thing about this beer is the aroma; slightly bready, very yeasty and perhaps with a hint of banana or clove.
Initital taste is fat, buttery sweetness (diacetyl?), punctuated by a thin metallic hop bit. Noble hops? Quite reminiscent of a mass market European lager (DAB?). Quickly fading taste which finishes with a faint bitterness.
Not a bad beer, but very bland, indistinct and sadly forgettable. .
The fact that all of the ingredients are grown by the brand owner (and they contract brew out?) is not enough to recommend it and certainly does not justify the price.
Drink this rather than Labatt’s.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355 ml bottle courtesy of Robeerto #079. Clear golden yellow, fading foamy white head. Aroma is grainy lager malts. Buttery flat sweet-ish lager malt taste, some faint earthy hop. Soft carbonation, light body, lightly hopped. Nice enough, a little bland, could use more fizz. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Beer pours a golden straw color typical of a lager. Nice carbonation into the glass which gives us a nice foamy one finger bright white head. The initial aroma impressions of this beer are misleading. You’d swear you are smelling the common corn adjuct in this beer as it has a very sweet smell, but as you read the back of the bottle, you come to find that this beer is an all malt beer. Malt, hops, yeast and water, that’s it so there can’t be an adjunct smell. What you are smelling is a bit of sweet malt, a bit of grain, A LOT of a very clean YEAST notes! Very clean sweet banana notes and slight phenolic clove notes. Those two mixed with a slightly sweet malt base contribute to the false adjunct smell. There is also a slight spicy note from the noble hops. I would be very surprised it this beer didn’t use a combination of Hallertau Mittlefruh, Saaz and/or Tettnang hops. The use of these hops seems to always impart just a slight earthy herbal hop spice note to a lager. The taste on this is very nice, very refreshing. The sweetness carries through to the beer although it takes a bit of a backseat to the hops which really lend their characteristics well to the beer since it is nicely carbonated. When the carbonation dances across your tongue, the leafy spice of the noble hop is there to leave a nice herbal note on your palate. The beer finishes very clean. It is quite balance although as we said before there is a bit of sweetness, but otherwise its quite nice.
