2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On cask at the brewpub. Clear gold pour with cask head. Aroma is hoppy, lots of vegetal notes, boiled veggies, caramel. Taste is sweet, light grassy vegetal hoppiness, lots of caramel. Palate is medium bodied, light carbonation. Ok.

Dark golden colour. Thin soapy head. Aroma and flavour have pea sweetness with mild bitterness in the finish.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Handpump at the place. The aroma has faint hops with quite some caramel malt. Flavour is light bitter, quite watery with some hops in the finish. Allright.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I was pretty pleased with this beer. It sits somewhere between an English and the lower IBU American IPAs. Not overly bitter, in fact there is a subtle malty sweetness.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft @ brewpub. Pours a hazy amber beer with a fluffy, off white head on top. Aroma is little interesting, some basic citric influences and a slight malty base. Flavor is medium bitter, some caramel in the background. Typical example of an English styled IPA. Nicely brewed, but not my cup of tea.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Tried out small pint at The Fiddlerís today. Came warmer then expected, faded brownish ruby colour, nothing much to smell. Tastes nothing like an IPA. Actually went back to the bar to confirm this was the Sea Lion. Not nearly enough hops, bitterness or floral elements to call it an IPA. Apart from being mislabeled, simply not a very good beer (though temperature at which it was served mightíve not helped either).

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Pours clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is bready, caramel and some grass. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Not really an IPA, more like an ESB. Full bodied with minimal carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is huge malt. The flavour is medium bitter with lots of malt, caramel, liqourice, and dry pepper on the watery palate. Itís not and IPA IMO. Itís very malty with lots of liqourice and half way to a DIPA but without the alcohol and the hops!
