mansquito (3385) - Nueva York, New York, USA - MAR 29, 2014
New Beer Distributors, NYC 11.2 oz: Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is hops, fruits, a hint of chocolate, some burnt malts. I didn’t really know what to expect from this, but I got an interesting, but simple brown ale with a nice little fruity undertone. This is a nice easy-drinking but subtle beer.

mjs (4584) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 15, 2014
(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB , courtesy of rosenberg, 20140315) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, coffee and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burntness, fruitiness, pine, ash and bitterness. Afteraste was burnt, hoppy and bitter. A very burnt brown ale, thin hoppy stout or a burnt black IPA. Despite the style the end result was confusing.

erickok (3533) - Tours (and Paris), FRANCE - DEC 31, 2013
Dark bodied, smooth head. Dough, palm sugar, smooth coffee beans, mild hop base. Smooth bitterness, nice dark malts yet accessible. Like a classic French (or Belgian) Dark ale yet smoother malts and better hopped. Very nice. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Brown body, offwhite head. Aroma has roasted malts, chocolate and some tobacco? Flavour is quite grainy and bit roasted. Nice brown ale.
