2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught. Pours a clear pale straw yellow. The aroma is mainly sweet apple, with not a lot of complexity to it. Sweet table apple is the main flavour up front, but the finish is actually quite vinegary. The vinegary finish does it no favours, but even without that this is a fairly boring commercial cider. Worth missing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught in the smaller sized glass/middy, at The Local Taphouse, Sydney, on July 10, 2013.
Clear honey color, some very small bubbles, but no head really. Apple, dry, slight bit tart, a tiny bit vinous taste. Medium mouthfeel, low to very low bitterness, tart aftertaste. Sweet, apple scent.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not amazing. Aroma is sweet apple. Appearance is clear straw coloured, has been filtered to death. Taste is sugary apple flavours but close to water. Palate is next to nothing, quite neutral. Overall, not amazing, but not half bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Like below, really enjoyed this one. Very sessionable with plenty going on. Not overly sweet but what sweetness is there is pleasing. A dry, crisp and very clean finish leaves you wanting more. Tasty stuff

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Produces up an effervescent straw yellow and bright as bright. Nose is alive with whole orchard fruit; flesh, peel, core, leaves, wood and soil, with just a hint of salted white cheese and lemon grass. Similar salted cheese plays on the palate with a little citrus aiding the whole apple flavour. Strange note of unleavened bread and poppy seeds is interesting. Brush of woody herbs late. Light bodied, well rounded with moderate bounce. Reserved fruit sweetness with a dry, tight and parching, crisp finish; the acids are low to moderate. Plenty of pale wood gripping the palate between sips. Really open, raw and complex. I’m pleasantly surprised. I don’t think this will hit the mark of depressive ciders like Rekorderlig or Bulmer’s amongst the new wave drinkers but this is fantastic stuff. Full of nooks, crannies. Lovely!
