Backlog rate. Dark brown color. Big boozy body, citrus/marmalade hops and sweet cake dough-like malt notes, very balanced. Warming alcohol notes at the end add some punch to the bitter finish. One of the better Kernels.

Bottle. Copper orange color with a lovely off-white head. The nose is sweet, oranges, some chewy toffee, medium grains. The body’s a bit hot and alcoholic, some floral bitterness, sugary sweet finish. The body’s full and well-developed. Aggressive. I’m a fan.

Bottle: Hazy, orangey coloured, stable creamy off-white head, solid fruity and piney-hoppy nose, sweet grains or sweet malt underneath, shy traces of alcohol as well; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, very soft; lingering fruity/sweet-malty finish with a solid piney-hoppy aftertaste. A good A L E in my opinion.....

Bitter-sweet flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Hearty (cara-)malty base with yeasty notes and a good dash of piney and slightly fruity aroma hops; lasting bitter-sweet finish with a lingering hoppy tail. Bottle at a cgarvieuk tasting. Orangey gold, small white head slowly disappears. Nose is honeyed, slight floral hops, hint of marzipan. Slightly sweet up front - bready, lager grain also. Hints of caramel and a reasonably bitter earthy hop finish. Not bad but not totally working for me.
