0.33 bottle from the brewery, enjoyed at home. There’s no question about it, it’s a brown one and on top it has a small almost islandy and sorta sidesticking beige head. Nose-vise it’s really nutty and sweetish. Lots of chocolate and dark malts. It smells totally unique and not what I directly identify with a brown ale, but as always it’s really really pleasant. It has a nice smooth chocolate-drink thing going on in the taste. It’s surprisingly soft on the carbonation and mild oily in the mouth. So calming, yet lovely flavorful. Chocolate, snickers and coffee mainly. Tones of vanilla and cardboard also. Walnuts in the aftertaste. It’s a superb lightdrinkable one and oh, so tasty and oh, so quickly gone. 18.12.2015

Bottle. Dark brown in color, small beige head. Caramel, biscuits, fruits covered by overpowering acetaldehyde, both in aroma and taste. Probably bad bottle. Not drinkable, huge disapointment.

Bottle from The Bottle Lab, Leek. 5.6% ABV. Pours a deep brown to black colour with a thin off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, nuts, some caramel, slight dark fruits, a little cola and subtle apple. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, nuts, some dark fruits, slight caramel and subtle apple. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, nutty, toasted bitterness in the finish. A simple brown ale, roasted bitterness and some sweetness. A weird dry, apple taste but otherwise decent.

Bottle, at the brewery. Dark brown with tan head. Roasted malts, bread, chocolate, medium bodied. Sweet with bitter finish. Rather simple, but certainly a good brew for what it is.

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with an off-white head which laces nicely. Apple, peach, mango, pineapple, toffee, caramel, bread, malt and perhaps a bit of chocolate on the nose. Malty, sweet in flavour but not too much, good balance. Medium body, smooth, velvety, silky, average carbonation. Does not make you go "wow" but it’s very pleasant and accessible.

Una brown ale, secondo me un poco atipica, ma non essendo un grande fan dello stile, tutto sommato bevibile e apprezzabile.

Flaska från Ales by mail. Smak och doft av choklad, björnbär, vanilj, karamell, smör, rostad malt, knäck, nötter, kastanj och kaffe. Välbalanserad, torr, lagom sötma och fin beska. Mycket fint hantverk!

330ml botle bb-17,06,16. Dark brown, clear, with small tan head, fastly reduced, but left beautiful lacing. Aroma of strong caramel with hints of coffe, maybe a little bit of apples and bread. Medium body, light carbonation, smooth. Taste is mostly rosted malts and coffe.

Bottle. Clear brown amber colour. Aroma mostly of apples, plus caramel, sweet, some roasted tones in the background. Apples dominate. Taste apples - mostly in the beginning. After that some dried fruits and roastiness. Apples in the aroma and taste ruined that beer.
