Bottle. Thin khaki head, on a jet black body. Sweet fig, plum, toast, and slight espresso in the aroma. Espresso comes in more in the flavor much like an iced americano coffee, some fig and dark fruit, bitter and toasty finish, medium to lighter body.

Lilja (952) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 18, 2013
En riktigt trevlig porter. Smak av mycket kaffe, choklad, brända toner med toner av torkad frukt och citrus. Len, rund, torr och en aning sträv med en chokladbitterbeska som avrundar det hela.

mcberko (4053) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 12, 2013
500mL bottle, pours black with a small beige / tan head. Aroma exudes dank earthy hops upfront, followed by deep toasted malt and bready malt. Loads of flavours on the palate, with loads of both earthy hops, and a thick dry roasted malt backbone. Remarkable balance, with a dry malt backing and very earthy dank hops. Awesome black IPA / porter hybrid.

johninmelb (1005) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2013
Chargrilled nose with burnt caramel, burnt orange peel and burnt mango. Pours deep and dark with a firm beige head. Flavour is hugely toasty with deep muscovado sugar notes threaded with some freshening hop notes of lemon and other citrus. Finish is very bitter and long but also balanced and rewarding. A beer that is big in all directions.
