Tasted on 2/8/14 from a bottle at the RBWG Grand Tasting, big thanks to chriso for sharing. Pours black with an average tan head that leaves a thin, even layer of lace. The nose has a bit of charred roast, toasted cocoa nib, chicory, dark chocolate, and a light nuttiness. The flavor is a bit more rich with more dark chocolate, a touch of smoke, and some decently bitter roast and cocoa nib. The body is medium plus with average carbonation and a long bitter roasted finish.

Bottled. Jet black, with a very small light brown head. Coffee and malt aroma. Starts surprisingly sweet, fruity, and acidic in the mouth, the quickly into drier coffee, cream, and raisin flavours, with a long dry finish. Very good.

ABV 7.5%. 33cl bottle @ home from De Molen. Pitch black body, minimal brown mostly diminishing good lacing head. Nose is dark roasted coffee and blueberry, Aroma is toast, dark chocolate, dark dried fruits, raisin, licorice, ash, bread, hoppy notes. Taste light to medium sweetness, heavy roasty bitterness, light to medium coffeeish sourness. Full body, sticky texture, flat carbonation, long lasting roasted and dark chocolate bitter finish. Excellent dessert beer, quite easy to drink but makes me feel full quickly, simple and delicious.
