4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 9.9%. Very dark brown ale with a medium beige head that becomes a rim around the glass. Aroma is of chocolate and a touch of coffee. The taste is a touch of bitter hops, chocolate, some roasted coffee and dark berries. Medium to full bodied. Very nice but was hoping for something special, instead I got a very good Imperial Stout, so no complaints.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small ring of tan bubbles. Aroma of roasted malt, some cocoa powder, and some dark chocolate notes. Flavour of rich dark chocolate, molasses, syrupy dark fruits and some treacly notes. Extremely full-bodied, viscous and full of molasses. Very sticky. Low carbonation and complex. Excellent impie.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep dark brown/black, with the thinnest tan coloured head (which is barely there at all). Aroma is of roasted malt, dark fruits, coffee a hint of chocolate. The taste is sweet at first, with some nut, caramel and coffee at the back of the throat. Salty, no real bitterness. Very creamy with a full body with very light carbonation.

12-APR-2013, draft @Mikkeller & Friends, with Marianne.
Not brown at all - rather black with brown head.
Nice aroma of coffee and molasses. Taste the same. A little roasted but never really bitter. Full, milky body with soft carbonation. Very creamy. This is really nice. Even Marianne liked it:-)

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ home. Pitch black with a beautiful big, lasting brown head. Smells chocolate, roasty, sweet. Tastes sweet, very roasty, salty liquorice, chocolate, herbs. The beer is quite salty overall, which I don’t really like, but still.. It’s quute amazing. Full body, nice carbo, could be silkier.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This was labelled simply Imperial Brown Stout, 10%; dark, dark brown, no head to speak of; aroma of coffee and milk chocolate; oily texture; bitter espresso coffee, rich dark fruit, raisins, perhaps some cherry; sweetish; it’s perhaps most characterised by an underpinning salty, peaty flavour which somehow works; long finish; very drinkable for 10%; in a word - lush.
