330ml bottle from Cheese & Wine shop, Darlington. Pours black with a thin beige head and aroma of roast malt, smoke, coffee, chocolate. Taste is roasted malt with sweetish raisins, dark fruits and some bitter chocolate & coffee. Smooth rich mouthfeel, full bodied, soft carbonation, warming roast bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Bottled 21/01/14. A black beer with a dissipating beige coloured head. Rich, slick and full of flavour. Lots of malty goodness. Smoke. Bitter chocolate. A touch of lactose. A nice body. Very tasty and enjoyable. The nose is sadly a little thin but it’s very tasty in the mouth for sure.

Bottiglia.

Bottle 33 cl, BBE 01/2017. Pours dark brown in color with a small tan head. Roasted coffee, cocoa, notes of vanilla, wet wood and salty licorice. Light nuttyness also is present. Boozy chocolate in taste at first which fortunately later on turns into some more dark coffee kind of. Chocolateycoffee with a vanilla touch in finish. Nice sipper and winter warmer with a slightly roasted bitter ashy aftertaste.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige foam. Aromas are peppery and earthy with coffee and a big alcohol hit. Slightly nutty and woody with hints of blackberry and floral notes. Flavours are vinous red wine with roast malts and plummy and dark berry fruit. Warming alcohol with dark chocolate and coffee bitterness. Lemon and grapefruit with vanilla. Very peppery with a dry boozy finish. Gets better as it warms up. Good.
