Bottle from Brew Bristol. Appearance: small off-white head, very dark brown - almost black colour, fair lacing. Aroma: coffee, lots of coffee, then dark chocolate, cookies and a bit of roast. Taste: nicely sweet which turns into light bitterness and spicy. Palate: full body, thick, long bitter finish, well balanced, flat. Overall: Good, decent beer. Brilliant aroma, great balance!

Aromat stosunkowo mało wyraźny czuć karmel, toffi, czekoladę i mocną kawę.

Bottle 330 ml. Pours black color, slightly haze, with unstable foamy light brown head. Aroma: roasted malts, vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, supported with hop aroma. Flavor: rich roasted malt flavors, espresso, toffee, a note of liquorice and spicy, herbal notes of hops. Finish is sticky/dry. Body is full, carbonation is low, texture is soft. Great stout! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown colour. Beige head which disappears quite quickly. Chocolate and cocoanibs in the aroma. Really good smell. Cocoanibs and bitter chocolate at first. Slight bitterness in the middle. Hints of toffee. Nutiness in the end. Chocolate in the aftertaste. Really nice creamy palate. Rather medium bodied. Very well balanced. Great stout. Very drinkable.

Pours black with excellent brown head. Aroma of cocoa and dark malts. After warming some hint of vanilla in aroma. Very balanced and nice mouthfeel of dark cocoal and melonoidines, complex but not extremely thick, rather a bit dry. Balanced taste of cocoa makes it very pleasant and very drinkable, not a hint of alcohol. Definietely one of the best imperial stouts I have drunk, but not the best. Probably too balanced for me and I like this tkind of beer to be agressive in the taste. Nevertheless very good.

Bottle. Pours dark black with hint of red. Little carbonation or head, head is yellow and while limited, it persists. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, toffee, dark fruit, plum, liquorice, dark caramel, hint of ash, with some pine hops in the background. Flavour is medium bitter, quite sweet, oily, with a surprisingly lovely smooth finish despite its ABV.

Sample 100 ml, courtesy of Maersk. Very dark brown, beige head. Smooth chocolaty aroma, with acrid roast transcending to greenish hops. The taste has velvety lightly sweet chocolate, moderate greenish bitter finish. Very good.
