pretty sure this is the beer that Leighton shared at the RBWG .. . pours a very dark brown .. good amount of suds .. . the abv seems to creep in - tar and razor roast as well .. . a nice stout, but a year should calm this one down nicely .. . . the women has 18 pairs of shoes but no toes!

355mL thanks to Leighton at RBWG Jax. Pours a deep cola ruby. Nose is coffee, savory steak, dark cherry. Taste is a bit medicinal, camphor, gingerbread, black cherry, toast. Palate is dense, silky, rich. Strange little beer.

Bottle shared by Leighton at RBWG grand tasting. Pours dark brown, bordering on black. Nose is rich and nutty, some medium sweet cocoa, light coffee. Very stoutish so it makes sense that its listed here as one. Enjoyed.

Bottle to taster at the RBWG Winter Tasting (thanks Leighton). Looks good; a mostly opaque brownish-black with beige lacing. Smells and tastes solid; dark malt and roast with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Tasty.

Brown pour with frothy tan head. Aroma is light chocolate and malt. Sweet chocolate and a nice abv warmth from a pretty nice beer. Full bodied and smooth.

Pours dark brown/black with a medium thickness tan head that fades quickly. Aroma is soy sauce, coffee, malt, caramel and roasted malts. Flavour brings out more roasted coffee, caramel and liquorice. Heavy sweetness with a full body and low carbonation.

330 ml bottle from appellation wines, Edinburgh. Black with tiny flecks if black at the fringes, small but dense mocha head, small lacing. Aroma is boozy blackberries with a roasty toffee/chocolate backbone. Taste is big espresso, mocha chocolate, with a fair booze hit. Palate is big & bold flavours done well, classic kernel.

Bottle from The Brewery. Pours deep black with a brown head. Aroma is dark malts, dark chocolate and notes of dark fruits. The taste is dark chocolate, dark malts and dark fruits. Nice smooth palate. Excellent smooth finish of dark chocolate. malts and fruits. Delicious imperial stout.
