Bottle (330 ml). Bottled on 07/10/13. Dark brown with a small thick brown head and little lacing. Aroma is of fresh grounded coffee, oily hops, dark fruits, molasses/caramel and light alcohol. Taste is of freshly grounded coffee, caramel/molasses, dark fruits and light bitterness. Pleasant hints of alcohol warming in the finish. Full bodied. Moderate carbonation. Oily and creamy mouthfeel. Tasty and well balanced Imperial Stout. The coffee is really present, but not overpowering. The alcohol isn’t noticeable until the end of the sips where it gives a really nice warming finish. Another very nice beer from one of my favorite breweries!

Bottle Rehills Newcastle. Wow, this is amazing. Aromas of brown sugar, caramel, coffee and cocoa. Thick mouth feel but it doesn’t cloy and is impressively soft, with background coppery notes. The finish even has some raspberry hints for me, a great aniseed cough mixture flavour then comes in on top. Outstanding.

Olor a regaliz. Sabor intenso, amargo, con profundas notas a café negro, regaliz, pimienta, fondo picante. Gran cuerpo algo graso.

Botella de 33 cl en beni home. De zombier. 23-04-2014.

Bottle at the Brewdog Bar, Manchester. No surprise to me that I bummed the hell out of this. Superb stuff. Dark brown almost black with a medium creamy tan head. Belting aroma, lots of chocolate, some coffee. Flavour has shit loads more chocolate, silky smooth finish. It’s got the lot!

Pours a pitch black beer with a tan head. Smells delicious. Coffee, chocolate, cookie dough. Tastes fruity, lots of coffee, roasted. Low carbo, medium body and a sticky oily texture.
