Bottle at Malto Misto. an inky black pour with a rusty tan head and a savoury umami dark chocolate nose. The taste is sublimely complex dark malty goodness - chocolate, marshmallow?, roasted chocolate covered coffee beans, This was excellent.

2014-12-19. Very dark brown body with a tiny brown head fades. 3+ Aroma is moderately alcoholic, sweet dark malt, hints at molasses. 7+ Flavour is similar, with a sweet malty core, dryish roast in the finish grows into the aftertaste. Light molasses touches. 7++ Average plus bodied palate, very soft carbonation. Pretty solid. Enjoyable. Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat, Glasgow.

Fashawn (192) - Montesarchio, ITALY - DEC 21, 2014
Bella imperial stout. Finale amaro e lungo, emergono a tratti vaniglia e castagne. Bella birra, corpo poderoso e tessitura oleosa.

Pours deep dark with thick brown head : terrific appearance! Nose is nuts, chocolate and some milk. Aromas are mainly coffee, with notes of chocolate and hazelnut. Low carbonation, oily texture. Sweet taste, with a coffee finish. Deep flavors and great mouthfeel.

Bottle from the Darlington Cheese & Wine Shop. Pours black with a tan head. Deliciously chocolatey beer with light spice and warming alcohol. Very tasty and far too drinkable for the strength. Rich and full bodied. Top notch beer.
