4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2014 Bottle; from Brwery, thanks Evin!
Opaque black colour, mocha lacing diminishes, aroma is smoke, chocolate, light peat, fudge, some citrus hops.
Taste is superb. Stunning dark Belgian chocolate, like real premium stuff, smoke, some leather, some peat, fudge, toffee, roasted malts, a littel rough on the bitternes, oil ,vanilla, raisins, brown sugar, depth and complexity is stunning, really long drinking and warms up very very nicely. Ken is right, lay this for a year and it woulld be intrigueing. I may do the same. Great work, Evin! Drinkability is there and alcohol is well hidden. Great stuff.
Bottle - bottled on 7th October 2013 - re-rate.
Deep guey chocolate gateaux; motor oil; tar; leather; velvet; stupidly drinkable for the abv; nice roasted malts; slight charcoal; cigar ash and wooden notes. Some blackcurrant and oil and cream. A very rich and rewarding imperial stout and in my eyes probably the best in the country of course along with GKHR SR. Aged this is even better! 4.5

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear, sunny-amber color, with a huge froth head on top.
Smells of wheat entangled orange peel, spiced up by black peppers and coriander. Offers a soothing wet grass quality among toffee malts and a whiff of rock sugar.
Has a higher, lively carbonation, although the beer’s overall soft and creamy mouthfeel prevails, while adding a nice refreshment to it.
Tastes of bitter cardamom and equally bitter lemon peel accompanied by white orange zest, hay and a rock sugar peak. Unusually refreshing with blood oranges and a note of black peppers together with a soft aqueous quality. Finishes with a world class creaminess, while a perfectly dosed, bubbly carbonation cuts through along with sweeter spices, and a still recognizable bitter counterpart from the beginning.
Fantastic beer overall, offers a unique twist while sticking to the style, perfected by its balance and supersmooth mouthfeel.

Taste: medium sweetness change in bitter and spicy notes. Full body, thin and a little creamy texture with long bitter finish. Actually excillent balanced beer, but a little boring.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aromat stosunkowo mało wyraźny czuć karmel, toffi, czekoladę i mocną kawę.

Dark brown colour. Beige head which disappears quite quickly. Chocolate and cocoanibs in the aroma. Really good smell. Cocoanibs and bitter chocolate at first. Slight bitterness in the middle. Hints of toffee. Nutiness in the end. Chocolate in the aftertaste. Really nice creamy palate. Rather medium bodied. Very well balanced. Great stout. Very drinkable.
