4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 33 cl, bought @ Kris Wines. Pours copper/amber with a nice white head. Aroma is full throttle hops, intense grape fruit, blood orange, mango, pineapple, hop pellets, my grandma’s cheap Papaya soap from Aldi. Clearly this has been dry-hopped to hell and back. Only a hint of maltiness. Taste has, of course, a lot of hoppiness, the same tropical fruitiness going on, quite some bitterness, a decent maltiness with caramel and a hint of white raisins. Very good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle consumed at The Bottle Shop, Canterbury, Kent 16th July 2011, with Loz, Isobel and Ian (Harrisoni) Pours light amber with a slim off-white head. Superbly hoppy nose and in the mouth. Alcohol is there but does not get in the way. Quite excellent, really hoppy, the Centennial (good thinking to use that for the 100th) really shines. Some soft juicy fruit, tasty, great stuff. Many thanks to Evin for the gift of this bottle - cheers mate! Haxy amber beer, tidy white head. Silky palate turning softer. Creamy silky malt. Vibrant fresh orange but also strong and marmaladey. Streak of grapefruit. Minerals. Whisper of brandy. Finishes dry carrying in the lovely strong fruit. Nice bitter aftertaste with some dried fruits coming to the fore. Very very drinkable and satisfying DIPA from Kernel. Really hope they can do some more of these.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours hazy orange-brown, with a thin white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is resin, orange marmalade, wood, urine and farmyard. The taste is resin, orange, mango, marmalade, leather, wood, astringent and alcohol warmth, with a long bitter-wood finish. A tasty double IPA but alcohol is a bit too obvious to make me drink more than one bottle per sitting.
