4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at Powder Keg Diplomacy, Battersea on 5 July. Poured a hazy amber colour, with a dense white head and excellent lacing. Full aroma of pine needles, citrus and just cut grass - in other words; a ton of hops! Lots of fruity hop flavours; orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, mixed with some caramel and grain. Finish was perfect lingering spruce and resin bitterness, balanced wonderfully wish biscuity malt and honey.

Bottle in Redwillow, Macclesfield with our Mes. Poured a slightly hazy orange gold with a medium white head. Nice amarillo hop aromas and flavour, quite subtle all round which makes it very drinkable. The usual Kernel stuff, which is obviously big fat portions of goodness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Keg, The Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham, 11/04/14. Dusted orange gold with a brief suggestion of head. Call me a Luddite but keg never matches cask. That minor grumble aside this is a beauty and easily the best beer of the day; dragon fruit and guava armpit hop without heat; gentle carb and husk backdrop. Kumquat and white pear. Sweaty, cheesy perfumed cat and armpit aroma. Yessir.
