Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Pours dark as Coke with an enourmous frothy light tanned head. Aroma is rye, floral and fruity hops, some peppers and equalyptus as well. Taste is intense fresh & crisp hops, high carbonated, medium bodied. Some nice liquorice, sweet malts and mints towards the lingering dry bitter end, do i need to say this is very good?

Bottle @ CPK. Deep brown color with a massive, gushing tan head. The nose is of caramel and sweet chocolate. Roasted coffee. Leafy hops. The taste is buoyant light hops, sweet cola, milk chocolate. Light bitter leafy finish. Medium body. Active carbonation. As always, a very good effort from The Kernel.

33cl bottle. Pours a brown color, almost ruby on the edges of the glass. Head is huge and tanned. Long lasting foam. Aroma is similar to a porter: roast and coffee notes surrounded by a piney hoppiness. Taste is bitter up front, slightly acidic in the middle, than bitter again in the finish. Long astringent finish. Quite dry. Mouthful is almost creamy with soft carbonation. It’s quite mild both on roasted and hoppy notes compared to other BIPA I’ve head. I’d say this tasted more like a well hopped British porter to me. Still a nice brew for sure.

Strong rye bread aroma, rather sour. The flavour has the rye playing with the hops in a remarkable way. Pine, euchaluptus.
