Aroma: roasted sunflowers seeds, herbs, pine, chocolate, weak citrus notes. Appearance: dep brown color and thin creamy head. Taste: high bitterness, roasted notes, herbs, chocolate, ashy, quite dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Rather disappointing, I expected something more but still it does not mean that this is bad.

Piwo ma ciemno brunatną barwę (prawie czarną) i jest klarowne. Nalewa się z bardzo intensywną pianą, która ładnie zdobi szkło, a po czasie redukuje się do obrączki. Aromat to wciąż całkowita dominacja chmielu. Szybko do głosu ponownie dochodzi jednak chmiel. Pojawiają się cytrusy (grejpfrut) i średnio-wysoka goryczka, pozostawiająca w ustach posmak suszonych liści tytoniu. Całość bardzo przyjemna w odbiorze.

330 ml bolttle Appearance: Clear deep brown beer, creamy brown head, good retention and leaving night lacing spots. Aroma: citrus, mocha, caramel, dried fruits, sniffing to long reveals a odd chlorine tone. Not thereduring drinking. Taste: sweet start, some caramel, chocolate, hints of soap, and gentely the hops take over soft fruity bitterness before it finishes light roasty and resinous. Aftertaste: fudge, coffee, citrus,& exotic fruits, soft roast, ok carbon, medium body. ok carbonation

Angenehmes, sehr klassisches Black IPA mit feiner Hopfung, etwas Kaffee, ein wenig Malz und leichter Fruchtigkeit. Im Abgang moderate Bitterkeit. Einfach zu trinken, süffig, wunderbar.

Bottle at Gents Bierfestival. Malty, hoppy, bitter, roasted coffee, I absolutely love the style and I love Kernel. A BIPA to dream about. Great.

The beer has got a deep blalck colour with a small head and smooth body. Aroma of hops, amlt and pine. Taste of hops, barley, bread, malt, chocolate, pine and mild herbs. Flowery hoppy finish. Enjoyed it.

Kernel’s BIPA, expectations are high. Stable and lacing, pale greyish beige head, very dark ruby bronze colour, as good as black but translucid on the edges. Wonderful, lush aroma of American C-hops and other goodies: fresh grapefruit, pine resin, lemon blossom, caramel, tad chocolate, field flowers. Dried fruits, very nutty from the start, soft carbo, smooth caramelly and lightly chocolatey maltiness leading to a beautifully hopped finish, peppery and bittering, resiny, very long and lushly citrussy. Exemplary BIPA, I’d recommend this to anyone trying to get acquainted with this fascinating new style.
