Bottled. Deep orange-golden color, lacy. Minerally, grapefruit zest nose, with honey and biscuits. Sweet, juict grapefruit flavor, tropical fruits and pineapple, tingly peppery finish. Nice fruit. A bit thin and light.

Bottle from Sourced Market. Consumed on the train up to Darlington. The pour’s a hazy light orange color with a modest white head. The aroma’s woody pine, fresh forest, notes or orange marmalade and a bit of rustic, salty brine. The taste is tropical fruit squash (mango, orange, pineapple). Hints of cheese and baked sweet bread. Medium body, active carbonation. Overall, a pretty decent beer! Another solid effort from the Kernel boys.

Light amber golden color. Pineapples, pears, like a fruit cup of hops. Tons of hops, again well defined hop character that is a fruit cup, but really lacks a backbone. Not bad, but I could use more malt.

Desverger (3955) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2013
(Bottle from Mr Lawrence, SE London) A hazy gold pour with a fine white head, medium in body and with persistent clinging lacing. Aroma and taste is prominent citrus hops with waves of grapefruit, orange and lemon tempered by caramel biscuity malt, pine, overall giving an initial sweet/sharp hit on the palate with a lingering bitter warm boozy finish. Immense.

330ml bottle from Cornelius. Standard hazy amber brown Kernel IPA with not much head. Very sweet resinous hop aroma. Fruity pine hop flavour. Hoppy aftertaste. Another decent Kernel IPA.

The_Osprey (3241) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2013
Jan 2013 - This is quite a nice IPA, similar to but better than, say, the Stone IPAs from California. Has a nice balance. The flavours are typical - florally grapefruitty maybe a bit more malt than I’m used to from Kernel which is good. Drinkable as new-style IPAs go. Towards the end I picked up a tiny bit of pineapple (the holy grail of IPA in my opinion) but it was only slight and fleeting

Bottle. Hazy amber with nice white head. Sharp peppery aroma, musty, pissy. Musty sharp orange flavour. Bitter finish with a lingering musty taste. Standard kernel
