330ml bottle from Nelson Wines, Merton. Another great IPA from Kernel. Hazy amber pour, light-bodied with a bitter piney hops finish. Not quite as good as the Simcoe Summit version in my opinion, but up there.

330ml bottle at 6.8% ABV. Clear bubbly amber-tinged gold with a large fizzy/foamy white head. Lovely catty/citrus zest pine-y aroma, can’t believe this has been in my fridge for over 3 months - some alcohol. Taste - follows, quite a bit of tropical fruit, not as much cattiness, good alcohol balance, a bit light on the malt, which is just how I like ’em. Light body, solid carbonation, medium-long dry acidic zesty finish, nice hint of grapefruit pith in the aftertaste - another great IPA from Kernel, who knew ;-)

Bottle at home from the brewery. Aroma is really nice resin and wood some dank and sweet caramel note. Really reminds me of arrogant bastard - never been able to identify chinook before this. Clear orange pour with a thin persistent white head with some lace. Flavour has the classic simple kernel malt bill, biscuity with some carmel. Hops are resin with some slight pine. light dank. Much nicer more balanced version than arogant bastard.

33cl bottle, bottled on 16.07.13, bb 16.11.13. Hazy amber, thin white head. Sweet tropical fruity aroma, pineapple, perfume in aroma. Flavor is quite intense at first with some smoky notes, then grapefruit and resiny notes. Finish is lobg, bitter and has some caramel along with citrus. Nice balance, and the caramel goes nicely in the finish.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness bottle shop, York. Murky orange colour. Thin, but lasting, white head. Aroma is soapy lavender, some grapefruit and ever such a slight hint of chamois leather? In the mouth it’s very flowery and soapy, which, thankfully is balanced by a bitter finish. Lots going off, that’s for sure.
