330ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark orange with a large, frothy head. Aroma is mango, grapefruit and bready malt. Taste has some bread to start. Big bitter finish with a little grapefruit.

Color cobrizo pálido, espuma escasa. Aromas lupulados y cítricos. En boca es ligera y fresca con una entrada suave y un final cítrico yunido a un amargor lupulado muy equilibrado. Un buen trago.

Clear golden body - bit watery. White fizzy head. Floral aroma of hops. Heavily bitter flavour that ends very water-like. The lacking finish is rather disturbing.

Aug 2012 - grapefruit, pineapple, hoppy bitterness at end. More balanced than a lot of Kernel beers, but still has the distinctive flavours. Quite good.

Bottle from brewery. Not my favourite hop variety. Pours clear toasty amber, medium white foam head. Nose is musky grain malt, and citrous aromas of grapefruit, lime and lemon. Taste is a big hit of bitter citrous, grapefruit, lemon and lime rind and peel and then a minerally, slightly chalky flavour. Quite a bit of pine too. Generally lots of bitterness and tartness with some sharp sweetness on the finish which is a touch sherberty. Quite chewy tart grapefruit peel bitter on the finish too.

Del libro Hop Variety Handbook de Dan Woodske, se puede leer sobre el lupulo Chinok: "Spice rack aroma, some pine and smokiness to ti... Spice and earthiness". Pues eso es lo que se puede encontrar en esta cerveza perfectamente ejecutada por los chicos de The Kernel.

Hazy pale orange colour. Fruity hop aroma, quite some tropical fruit there too. Has quite a thick, syrupy feel. Flavour has some malty and yeasty tones inbetween the bitersweet tropical fruit and hop.

(draught) pours a slightly hazy pale yellow colour with a frothy white head. aroma of mango, heavy grapefruit and straw, slightly resinous, with notes of kiwi and gooseberries. flavour is mostly the same, straw and herbal hops, tart sour fruit, kiwi, lemons and gooseberries. light-bodied with soft carbonation.

Chinook based IPA (forget about the "pale ale" statement in the label) with a characteristic kind of spicy and pepper final subtle flavour enhancing the hop bittering. Cloudy aspect with smooth floral-flavour in mouth.

330ml. Pale, finely misted yellow; orange and clouded like a hefeweizen with the bits in. Slim white lid. Aroma freshly made bed, red apple, melon, blackcurrant, mint and berry-like, just-punctured bag of coffee. Lean soapy hop; bright floral, blackcurrant and breakfast juice notes finished drily with G+T and monkey nut-like malt. Sun-drenched; a minor explosion, like having your tongue thrashed with a bunch of flowers, etc.

Pours hazy orange, white lasting head. Aroma of passion fruit, citrus, resin slightly spicy. Taste is peppery spice and resin notes. The hoppy fruitiness in the aroma don’t come through as much as I’d like. Short bitter finish. Good stuff.
