4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 graham_murphy (66) - - APR 22, 2013
Another great IPA from the Kernel. Strong lemon, pine, grapefruit flavours and a well rounded (a little sweet) body with a very smooth aftertaste. I prefer the Citra but this is still very, very good.

The Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (330ml bottle, £3.20):
Floral notes & some strong pine, some bitterness and a helping of light, sweet malts and a touch of citrus. There is some tropical fruits, peach and a hint of grapefruit in this one as well.
A cloudy, orange amber colour with a thumb sized, bubbly white head on top that halves in size and settles leaving some nice lacing.
Bitter with a lot of pine, grapefruit and to a lesser extent tropical fruits. There is again a hint of malts, along with some caramel and some citrus too.
Very bitter with a creamy feel and a nice citrus tang to go along with the light medium carbonation and dry finish.
Good beer from The Kernel, not one of their best efforts but still a pretty good beer. It was more malty than I had been expecting for the style and the bitterness levels where quite high although the nice touches of caramel were good.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 teddybeer (1533) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 22, 2013
On tap @ La Tape. Cloudy light orange colour with a white head, light carbonation and a nice lacework. Floarl and citrus hops dominate in the aroma with fruity hints. Flavor has a decent bitterness, resins and fruity notes are mainly present. The final is bittery with a good duration.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Osprey87 (585) - London via, WALES - MAR 20, 2013
UPDATED: APR 13, 2013 Feb 2013 – cold bottle. No head at all. Not much up front flavour, aftertaste is astringent but the bitterness isn’t quite so sharp as some IPAs – this has a more rounded bitterness. Quite floral, bit of parma violets, not very fruity at all really which is a shame. Is actually slightly watery, which comes as a surprise. OK, mild, nothing special. 3.4 ******** April 2013 - inch of head with good retention. Slight cat urine smell. Taste is quite sweet and malty, a little parma violets still with resin, rich hoppy taste. Bitterness has died down given a couple of months in the bottle and I think that it’s improved actually. Reminds me of ’Axe Edge’ 3.8

Draught at the La Tape, Madrid, Spain. Hazy orange colour with a small creamy white head.
Fruity aroma with lots of exotic notes, hoppy bitterness and mild sweetness. Very tempting. The flavour is also very fruity but also very nice. Tasty. Exotic fruits, bitterness and malt. Very balanced. Tasty.

Bottle from a trade with madmitch76. Bottled 8.1.2013 Pours almost clear dark golden with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of floral and fruity hops. Taste is moderate sweet initially, befor the hop parade kicks in and take over the show entirely, flowers and tropical fruit mix, oranges and lemons.Nice dry end, another bullseye from Kernel.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail
Bottled 08.01.13, BBE 08.05.13 - Pours clear dark orange with a foamy head. Aroma of exotic fruits, lemon, citrusy hops, grass, hints of caramely malts. Taste of exotic fruits, citrusy hops, some piney grass, biscuity malts and resin. Finish is dry, bitterish and fruity with some crisp hoppiness and hints of citrus. Nice, quite tasty IPA but the hop profile feels a bit off.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DruncanVeasey (6179) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2013
330ml bottle. Dusted gold with loose bubbled white foam. Wild, perfumed aroma showing plenty of alcohol; green stems, Pimms with strawberry and mint. Bitterly floral and tropical with stewed tea, lavender and grapefruit over that husky, creamy, monkey nut malt flavour underpinning Kernel’s pale stuff of late. Beautiful, dry, perfumed and rasping.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MatteoD. (86) - ITALY - MAR 10, 2013
Alla spina (on tap) al Red Bear pub a Marghera (Ve). Bella schiuma chiara e discretamente persistente, colore giallo oro ambrato, aroma complesso fiori di luppolo, frutta tropicale e note agrumate, al palato corpo medio e leggera carbonazione, note citriche, pompelmo, zenzero, miele, malti splendidamente bilanciati dai luppoli. Questa e’ una grande Ipa !!
