A hazy, slightly orange beer with a medium and blond head .The aroma is great, sophisticated tropical fruits, passion fruits and papaiyas, some grapefruits and lychee. Taste is tropical fruity, mangos, black currants, some grapefruits, hint of pine needles. Enough of bitterness after tropical fruits. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Great beer, aromatic nuancees are dominating.

Bottle. Traded with madmitch76. Thx bro. It pours mostly clear yellow with a medium white head. Lots of passion fruit, grape fruit and mango in the aroma. The flavor is gooseberry, light peach, passion fruit and citrussy hops. Clean malt bill. 2 different hops that are quite a like with the Citra providing gooseberry to the bit sweeter passion fruity light peachy Simcoe. Nice match. Another treat from Kernel!

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Bierfestival Mechelen 2014. Hazy oily amber, little head. Thick pine resin oily bitter hop nose; Taste is same bitter oily pine resin, toffee, grapefruit, faint yeast, tad herbal. Oily pine resin body. Nice brew, not the best Kernel I have had but drinks quite well as usual.

Bottle. House of Trembling Madness bottle shop, York. Hazy orange. Head is thin, sticky, messy, and lasts. Fusty mandarin. Some zest. Not as vibrant as I might have expected. Taste is thick, soft toffee sweet, with a big bosh of zesty, pithy bitter. A fair share of dryness. Soft, oily, slight greasy palate. Finishes light sweet, and long, full, bitter.

Bottle from the Red Squirrel Chesham Brewery Store. Poured a hazy mid golden, with a thin, dense white head. Massive aroma of Citra hops, fresh fruit, grapefruits and straw. Smooth tangerine sweetness in the flavour, with some grain and biscuity malt. Finish was hay, lingering resin and Seville orange.

Bottle split at Steve’s flat, thanks to Rilester, 30/09/14. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is juicy citrics, light pine, melon, orange pith, mango, straw, squeeze of grapefruit. Taste comprises orange squash, pine, vague hint of soap, grapefruit, apricot jam, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close laced with juicy hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA but a few notches below where I usually put Kernel.

Bottle from The Real Ale Shop Newark. Clear orange gold with a little haze from the yeast. Lasting white head. Some citrus on the aroma. Flavour in the mouth is good. Some lovely grapefruit. Fullish in mouth. Good bitterness on the finish. Just a rather tasty ipa. Aroma not so wonderful but the flavour and finish are excellent
