4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, shared by Leighton on the RBWG bus. Psyched to try these Kernel beers I have heard so much about. Lightly hazy orange with a small fizzy white head. Nose is citra, big citrus, lightly tropical, caramel malt balance. Flavor is similar, lots of fresh citrus, soft bitterness, fairly dry juicy finish. Tasty.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
17th Feb 2012- bottle at home. 6.6% vers bought direct from the brewery. This was bottled less than a fortnight ago (that's 2 weeks for any Americans reading) so mega fresh. Huge citrus explosion on the nose. Taste is very balanced without any of the astringency you get from lesser Citra based beers.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Birmingham. poured a cloudy orange colour with a very thin, off-white head and no lace. The carbonation is very low. The aroma is grassy and a little floral. The flavour is hoppy, zesty and the dry pepper hoppiness hits the palate right away. The smooth bitter aftertaste makes this a very diverse and refreshing ale that justifies its rating.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pretty sure this is the version I had on tap at Craft Beer Co. Wow, did not know the Kernel made so damn many varieties of their APA and IPA, batch by batch. Big lustrous orange pour with a silky head and a massive citrus nose. Soft, elegant mouthfeel and taste that balances the bitter with the sweet. Not quite as rocking as the APA but very good nonetheless.
