Tap at CBC. Pours a low haze yellow with creamy foam. Pineapple sorbet nose with saltwater. Taste is rich, sorbet, pineapple and tropical melons. Very rich, near oily palate. This one was delicious. Poured myself a few of these while The Kernel crew wasnít looking ;)

Had a friend bring this lovely beer over from London. Itís quite the thing. The citra-hops are by far the dominating palate-ruler; not drowning the body, which is meduim light with a fair amount of residual sugars, which gives it that perfect balance between sweet and bitter. I particularaly enjoy the light tongue bitterness that lingers as a result of the. Alcohol tones are kept suble and therefore allow for doughy and down to earth esteurs to do their thing as a result of the beer being bottle conditioned. Highly recommendable for any time of day and any time of year.

Golden, hazy, white foamNose is floral, with loads of citrus, orangepeel.Taste is pretty mellow, consiering the nose, leaving a nicely balanced ipa. Caramel tones blend nicely with the bitterness. Finish is hints of orange and caramel notes. Almost a bit low on bitterness.Light body and not too much carb.

Just had the April '12 edition of this lovely IPA. Label said 6.7% abv. It wA fresh, supremely bread fruit tropical. It was great, might be better in a week or 2. Did lack carbonation. -- raided in the wild, via Beer Buddy app

UPDATED: APR 24, 2012 Just a note - the bottle that iíve got has an abv. of 6.7%, not 7.2%. Hazy light orange, white persistent head, nice lacing. Strong tropical fruit aroma and sweet caramellish malt. Also a slightly funky hop smell. Nice, tropical citrus flavours and sweet malt. Light carbonation and nice mouthfeel. The only downside is itís a little bit sickly, maybe a bit too fruity... Could maybe do with a tad more bittering and more carbonation to help carry the flavours.

33cl bottle at the brewery. Pours a clear golden color with a big white head. Aroma is hoppy on the tropical fruit notes. Lots of mango and peach, awsome. Taste is along the same lines, very hoppy and fruity with nice bitterness, but not overpowering. Nice oily body with good carbonation. Overall, extremely balanced and extremely awsome.

0.33l bottle from beermerchants.com The pour on this one is light blurry and itís kinda dark champagne-golden in color. It has a small quickly sidesticking off-white head that leaving nice lacings down the glass. The aroma is quite citrussy and hoppy with tones of branches, ripe strawberries, grapefruit, caramel and pine. Quite nice indeed. It has a comfortable creamy-oily mouthfeel and itís average carbonated. Nothing bad to say on the flavors either. That typical citra touch is perhaps a bit fade, so I suspect this is not the freshest batch, but still itís quite fruity and hoppy in the flavor. Some ripe and almost grassy bitterness all the way with both citrus and apricots. Yeah, a real treat this one! 16.03.2012

My first tasting of The Kernel. Delicious IPA. Crisp and refreshing. Smells wonderful - flowers, citrus - tastes much the same with a twang of bitterness. Perhaps slightly too bitter on the aftertaste, but regardless, I need to buy a lot of this.
