Was my first ever Kernel... canít believe Iíve never rated it! 6.6% bottle. Slightly murky golden pour with tiny head. Big funky, piney, veggy hit on the nose. Gorgeous lipsmacking fruit burst with big hop bitterness. Nice carbonation which really goes deep into the end of the mouthful leaving a medium dry hop and funky finish.

The pub I found this in were having difficulties with the haziness of the beer and consequently did not have it on sale. Luckily I persuaded them; a beautiful beer, perfectly matched to my palate. Wish this was more widely available!

Bottle from sourced market, large sample. Hazy golden color, short head. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, some biscuity malt. Bitter fruit punch, cookie. In their ipas they put a decent amount of biscuity malts, which makes the balance superb. Great stuff, although a bit one dimensional.

Pretty delicious, bags of passion fruit and peach. A lovely light orange peach haze, soft syrupy mouthfeel and modest carbonation.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2013 Light golden straw, fairly dulled haze. Bright resonant strums of lemon and wide eyed lime. Highlights of slick malt so well placed itís like lesser attempts have chewed up and regurgitated the best bits. Sweetness is maybe a little dragging on the simple refreshment; I donít know if itís the lower ABV or freshness but this was much more ruthless in profiling the Citra. Fair carbonation throughout circles things meanincingly. This is as unfathomable as The Kernel gets, crisp and firm with the yeast only popping up to glue the joins. Really compresses in the single hop without crashing through the rest of the structure.

ABV 6.6%. Bottled on 01/07/13. Pours a hazy light brown orange colour. Nice orange, some earthiness, slight funky b.o íish stuff, floral, piney, some candy... it smells great. And it tastes good too. Sweet, slight caramel to start, tropical fruit mix thing, a nice dry piney taste, citrus bitter finish. Itís very nice.

330ml bottle from The Beerhive. Small foamy white head, nice lacing. Body is hazy amber. Hoppy nose, citrus fruit, pine. Flavour is grapefruit, grass, pine, a little caramel and citrus. Bitterness on the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with light carbonation. A very drinkable IPA.

330ml bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a thin head and plenty of sediment. Aroma of hops and citrus. Huge hop flavours. Plenty of grapefruit, floral notes, slightly sweet and a good bitter finish. Extremely smooth and absolutely delicious. One of the best Iíve had. .
