Bottle conditioned, 330 ml from Merton Beer Fest ’12. Hop hazed gold with white head. Wowzer, what a great beer. The aroma is of fresh Passion fruit mixed with Kiwi. The beer has an intensely concentrated hop flavour, grapefruit yes, plus lemons and every citrus note you can think of. Biting, fresh, dry and bitter on a good biscuity body. Straight into my top beers of all time list, incredible.

Tap at the brewery. Orange coloured, slightly cloudy with big white bubbly head. Aroma is lots of lemon, other citrus. Taste is equally citrussy, nice bitterness. Very drinkable.

Tap at Mikkeller Bar. Orange-colored, cloudy beer with a frothy white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, apricot and grapefruit. Medium to heavy sweet and bitter strong, appears, however, very well balanced, although perhaps a little unexciting.

Chopp. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Citrus hoppy aroma indeed. Good mouthfeel. Flavour has citrus hops, some sweetness and fruit.

Bottle @ home. Aroma is huge citrussy hops (no shit!), subtle caramel like malt note. Flavour is a very clean and fresh citrus hop bitterness, perfect balance with the malt. Kernel is the king of great clean ipa’s.

strong citrusy nose with a dab of caramel. Dry. Nothing over powering. Mouth is well balanced. Moderate bitter finish.

Bottle. Hazy copper/orange color, lasting offwhite head. Fruity aroma, citrus, pine apple, hay and apples. Hoppy grapefruit flavor, citrus, pine apple, pear notes. Long hop finish with fruits and notes of perfume. Very refreshing and drinkable!

Bottle from Mr Lawrence, Brockley. Hazy orange pour with a lingering white head. Fabulous tropical fruit bowl aroma that’s up there with the very best. Piney resinous hop, weed, citrus aplenty, a little sweetness. A little sniff of heaven if there ever was one. The flavour lived up to the infinite promise shown in the nose. More juicy citrus mingled with some balancing malts and superb hoppage. Bitterness spot on and drinkibality just off the scale. Refreshing and hugely satisfying. Quite simply this beer is the bomb, and my favourite offering thus far from the Kernel. World-beating stuff.

Bottle on train. Nose of lemons and dried mango. This pale amber beer is full of fresh mango flavour despite being 5 months old. Medium bitterness in finish.

Bottle from realale.com. Pours light amber with no head. Huge citrus aroma, pineapple, orange, lime, lemon. Bitter and slightly sour on the tongue. Very tasty, one of the kernels best.
