3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, Yellow and slightly cloudy.Smal creamy head with a sweeet citrus flavour dominating. Any more sweetness and it would be sickly.Slighly bitter finnish but a bit overpowering for my taste.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle at 6.5%, purchased from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Birmingham. Another contender for best smell ever: just intoxicating - bitter, sour, fresh and pillowy, with the sort of sweetened urine blast that makes me a believer. Mouthfeel is thick and crunchy, with a powerful hop blast which leave a peppered trail on my tongue/chops. As I drink more of these superb IPAs, I worry that I will become blase to their charm and quality. But this is reassuringly good and makes me realise how lucky I am to be consuming it.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from the legendary Kris Wines. Slightly hazy deep orange color without the usual huge Kernel head (perhaps my pouring skillz are on the wane). The nose is funky orange sherbet and plenty of sweet tropical fruits. Pineapple, mango, all the usual suspects. The taste is light salty cheese, plenty of orange, sea grass, resin and more tropical fruits. Nice, light body. Smooth and supple. Overall, another good one from the lords of Bermondsey.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle, courtesy of Chase (who lugged it back from England for us). Thanks, buddy! Pours a tarnished, copper-golden color approaching orange; modest, fine-bubbled white head with nice lacing. Lots of juicy grapefruit and lemons in the aroma; like fresh-squeezed grapefruit and orange juice; yum. Medium body; moderate CO2; could use a touch more carbonation (the head would probably be in better shape as well); juicy grapefruit and oranges, loads of hop flavor here, and a quiet candied core; delicious IPA, and hugely assertive of that Citra character in both the aroma and flavor; delicious. Medium-length finish; pithy grapefruit and lingering bitterness, lightly toasty. A damn good beer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ home. Aroma is huge citrussy hops (no shit!), subtle caramel like malt note.
Flavour is a very clean and fresh citrus hop bitterness, perfect balance with the malt. Kernel is the king of great clean ipa’s.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draught at the Boreft Beer Festival, 2011. The aroma is very nice with grapefruit, passion fruit and pineapple. Usual Kernel yeast character. A little thin and bitter. OK.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle) Pours hazy amber with a sand coloured head. The aroma holds sweet citrus, fresh new cut grass, black currant, lychee, mango, passion fruit, wild strawberries and mint. Bready malt support. Undertones of grapes, dew, herbs and chives. The flavour is light sweet to dry, medium bitter and light acidic with notes of tropical fruits juice, green-ish notes, sweet berries, citrus, bread and a touch of yeast. The mouthfeel is clean and tiny tart with a light carbonation. Long citric, grassy and yellow fruity finish. Light to medium bodied.

On Tap/ The head is ok, the body orange-cloudy. The taste is maltaromatic, intensive hoparomatic, a bit orange-fruity, hoppy-fruity. Nice fruity IPA 12/11/12/11/-/11
