4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle, drunk 6 weeks from bottling date.
Aroma of intense citrus in the way the hop used can impart. Detect a tiny hint of yeast or other sugary smell.
Pours a straw yellow, murky but pleasant-looking. Carbonation not excessive, but pleasantly present.
Tastes refreshingly citrusy without being overpowering. Contains definite malt sweetness but not the cloying crystal malt kind. In that sense a thoroughly British IPA, and not an American one despite the hop variety used. Very pleasant half pint that shows different facets as it warms up.

Tap at CBC 2014. Deep golden in the glass, small head. Hoppy fruity aroma. Starts mild-hoppy, fine flowery, more and more spicy. Finish well balanced, milder, quite drinkable. Nice!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: An aromatic archetypal blonde Citra IPA.
How: Tap at Bar ANIMAL, Madrid.
The look: Cloudy yellow-blonde body topped by a persistent large white head.
In long: The hoppy nose of medium-high intensity nose is typical Citra aroma with tropical and exotic fruits along with notes of cat urine which I often get from strong Citra aromas. In mouth the beer has a pillowy texture with plenty of soft bubbles. Taste is all about the Citra hops. There is some pleasant honeyed crackery cereals but they are buried under a mountain of pineapples, papaya, grapefruits, passion fruits, and others. Lots of hops here. Bitterness of medium intensity with some sticky resinous notes. An archetypal solid example of this popular IPA sub-style. Another beer I loved, sometimes I cannot sleep at night just thinking of all the future beers that I will one day drink.

Nice, very citrus and a bit sour, but overall really good beer. I founded better on bottle than on tap, but could be just my perception...
