3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Whole Foods Kensington. The pourís deep hazy amber with a tight white head. Pretty classic Kernel appearance. The nose is mango, soft tropical trade wind. A bit of salty pineapple. Inviting grapefruit citrus. The taste is more grapefruit. Bitter green shoots and dirty, grassy hops. Lemon peel. Ripe tropical fruits. Slightly chalky and dry. Assertive bitterness indeed. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall, quite pleasant. Definitely not passive.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Euston Tap, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus hops and caramel malts. Flavour brings out citrusy hops, a bit of licorice, some mangos and pineapple, and some dry caramel malts. Quite astringent, finishing on tropical fruity notes. Very flavourful. Great stuff.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle from AlesByMail. Bottled on 26/03/13. 7,2% on the label. Unclear amber, with a frothy, white head. Cats piss and gooseberry with some sweeter tropical fruit in the back. Flavor has grapefruit, pine, very fresh, very bitter and dry grapefruity finish. Medium bodied. Not that fond of the aroma, but the flavor is awesome.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at cafe oto, dalston. Strong pineapple aroma, a soupcon of mango and banana and touch of boiled sweets, specifically lemon sherbets. Sugar, then a pronounced bitterness, too much in the aftertaste. Mild carbonation. Tasty as a sipper but not balanced as other similar beers, e.g. magic rock - high wire which is sublime.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: Lychee and pineapple. Pungent, powerful aroma.
Appearance: Hazy golden body with a huge off-white head. Very light carbonation. Great lacing.
Taste: Pineapple, pine, sweet lychee and a muted bitter finish. Nice pale malt balance.
Palate: Medium body with a very oily mouthfeel. Gentle carbonation.
Overall: I didnít realise the Columbus hop could have such a powerful flavour. A fairly typical (in other words, brilliant) Kernel IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle, 33cl, 6.2% abv) Almost cloudy, pale golden colour with a blond and short foamy layer. Citric and slightly exotic fruity hoppy aroma with a mildly flowery touch. Moderately bitter flavour with a whiff of sourness, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry pale malt character with present fruity, mainly citric hops; dry and moderately bitter hop-laden finish with notes of grapefruit in the aftertaste. Another gem. 17.XII.12

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33l bottle from beermerchants.com This one is a light hazy honey colored beer with a small slowly fading light bubbly off-white head. The aroma is light Belgian-yeasty-hoppy and kinda hedge-like. Fresh, with lotís of yellow citrus tones and also a sweet caramel-malty thing blended in here as well. Itís really citrus-hoppy in flavor. Makes my mouth feel quite dry while drinking it. Itís average carbonated, medium-bodied. I get much of that same Belgian yeast discovered in the aroma with a good hoppy flavor all the way. A bit floral actually towards the finish. Not the best Iíve had from the great brewery, but still a damn solid IPA that paired well with an Asian spicy chicken salad. 28.05.2012
