Aroma: Pungent aroma of pineapple, pine, mango and candy.

Appearance: Muddy golden body with a thick white head. Excellent lacing.

Taste: Intense, sweet mango flavour. Also yeast, pineapple, lychee and lemon. Quite boozy but definitely doesn’t taste as strong as the ABV. Perhaps lacking in bitterness for a Double IPA.

Palate: Full body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation.

Overall: This bottle is 9.7% ABV (bottled on 2nd April 2013). It has such a powerful, tropical flavour - it’ really is an incredible beer. In my opinion, The Kernel is the world’s best brewery.

33cl bottle, bottled on 02.04.2013. Poured hazy orange with a thick, white head. Very floral aroma, sticky somehow, citrusy, hoppy indeed. Flavor has orange, grapefruit, some wood and herbal notes. Finish is very bitter with pine and citrus. Alcohol is very well hidden, you can´t tell this is almost 10%! High drinkability.

Bottle from The Beer Boutique, Putney, London. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Lovely fresh hoppy, citrus, grapefruit aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, grapefruit, citrus, pine, orange, slightly malty. Incredibly easy to drink, complex and absolutely delicious. Fantastic Double IPA from The Kernel.

Lightly hazy golden-orange, moderate white head, spotty lacing. Nose is bright citrus, stonefruits, resin, and a little pine. Flavor turns more resinous and straight bitterness, lacking the exceptional fruity hop notes. Medium bodied, gentle carbonation, assertive bitterness.

Tap @ CBC 2013.
Pours cloudy yellow with a lovely, staying, creamy, white head. Lovely fresh citrus aroma, some resin and fresh apricot as well. Mild doughy maltiness. Very dry and very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegantly balanced between malty sweetness and sharp, fresh hoppiness. Citrus, apricot, pine and light resiny. Yum.

8/VI/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 2/VIII/13 - bottled: 2/IV/13 (2013-546) Thanks to Nicki and Mike for transporting the bottles!

Little cloudy orante to pale amber beer, creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit piny, resinous, some citrus, pineapple, ripe mango, little cheesy. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: some citrus, bit sweet, malty touch, grassy, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: alcohol noticeable, citrus, lots of grapefruit, bitter, bit floral, alcohol sweetness. Good beer, but a bit too alcoholic.

Hazy honey colour with a thin foamy white head. Aroma isskunky, floral hops, plenty of citrus, orange lemon, grapefruit, peach. Taste is very sweet, with a light, lasting bitterness. Texture is quite thick - almost creamy, with light carbonation. Another tasty Kernel IPA.

Bottle shared by James at Franks. Poured hazy orange with white head and medium lacing. Nose was a 10...tangerine, pine, grapefruit zest, and flowers. taste is a bit weirder compared to aroma...muddled flavors of pineapple, resin and yeast but still solid. Medium in body with dry finish. Nice

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber colour, foam white head leaving some lacing and aroma of citrus, tropical fruits & hop resin. Taste is caramel malt with tangy grapefruit & orangey citrus, pine resin and warming smooth bitterness. Oily mouth feel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, boozy dry earthy grassy bitter finish. Very drinkable, well balanced lovely DIPA.
