Bottled, 330ml from S.H Jones, Banbury, Oxon. Clear gold with white head. There is a clean, tangy, sweetish flavour to this, tangerine or satsuma notes allied to a grassy hint and a faint lemon. Little to the body, but it is all about the hops, so fair enough. Another very decent showing from Kernel.

Hazy golden beer with a decent foamy head and a sweet, fruity, floral aroma. Flavour is bittersweet. Softer fruit flavours balanced with sharper, bitter grapefruit-y citrus. There’s an underlying caramel flavour there too which grounds the whole thing a little. Very drinkable.

Bouteille 33cl, merci Pierre. Bottled 06/05/2014, BB 06/09/2014. Effervescence moyenne. Superbe.

Bottle Coppers Newcastle. Intense, initially herbal aroma, tropical fruit comes through quickly, plenty of pineapple and mango. Blackcurrant medicinal taste in the finish; mixing with a fairly smooth creamy texture. More solid stuff from The Kernel.

Bottle. Hazy gold as usual with a white foam. Aromas are white grape with bready yeast and grapefruit. Lime with citrus rind and pineapple. Flavours are lime and cheesecake with grapefruit and sweet white grape. Yeasty with pineapple and tangerine. Creamy oak. Supremely drinkable.

Bottle. Hazy orange with a medium sized diminishing white head. I can smell the tropical fruit notes when pouring it. Pineapple, passion fruit, mango, yellow kiwi, light bready malt. Medium body, oily texture, medium sweet and bitter, medium carbonation. Light dry finish with lingering hops. Less bitter than most of the other Kernel IPA’s I’ve tried, but I tend to prefer their pale ales for that very reason, so it’s ok with me. Goes down quick.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy brownish orange with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of grapefruit, citrus rinds and resinous hops. Flavour is fresh and hoppy, with loads of citrus hops, some grapefruit, and pine. Quite hoppy, but not astringent in any way. A great mix of hops here. Very good.

330ml bottle from Good Spirits Co. Usual hazy Kernel yellow brown, not much head. Flowery tar, tropical fruit, resin & hop aroma. Big passion fruit & tangerine flavour. Sharp with grapefruit aftertaste. A bit unbalanced. Big and in your face but not best from Kernel.

Golden, fruity, really quite tasty excellent on a hot day like today, soft carbonation, not much noticeable lacing, good mouth feel, bottle at bottle shop.
