4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Dean Swift - another case of the Kernel doing what they do best: brewing superb fresh and fruity IPAs. This one has a sweet nose of oranges, mango. Taste is medium-bodied, beautifully hoppy without overshooting in any direction. Mild hoppy aftertaste.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg at North Bar, Leeds (7.2% version). Pours a clear straw yellow, finger of head. Aroma is musty at first with grapefruit and tart citrus fruits/orange peel as it warms up. Taste is again musty as it goes in, with a touch of breadiness before the big grapefruit hops kick in. Orange and grass (both kinds) too. Bitter ans sharp, but brilliantly balanced. Just a classic Kernel IPA.

Solid Kernel offering, on tap at the Old Fountain, although they had it down as 7.2% rather than 6% (error? Didn’t taste mega strong).

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at CBC Brixton. Pours a head yellow gold with a thin white head and some visible fine carbonation. Aroma is elderflower, piss, lychee, passion fruit, lemon, grass. Light body, foamy. Fresh, crisp with Elderflower, lemonade, mango, a hint of candy, a touch of veggie earthiness, finishes with a touch of bitter grapefruit, but its subtle. So well balanced, complex. It's really nice.
