From keg at The Kernel. Good white head . Nice golden colour. Overwhelming aroma of tropical fruit - mango and passion fruit. I donít recall an IPA with such an intensive and beautiful aroma. The freshnness of the beer /served two weeks before schedule because it was so good already/ is stunning. In taste more tropical fruit , citrus , and long pleasant bitterness balanced by lovely malt make it a IPA fan paradise. A beer of my dreams but only when served fresh on the spot. If only I lived in London...

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2015 Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours mostly clear gold with a modest, foamy white head. The nose is just bursting with aged cat pee - itís beautiful. Medium sweet flavor but not cloying, some tropical fruits, lots more urine, moderate bitterness, some grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great balance. Lightly resinous to finish, ripe piss, some pale malts, mild sticky pine, orange. Nips of robust earthy bitterness. Damn, just delicious. This is The Kernel doiní it right. (5 April 2013, score: 4.5)

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Bottled on 15 July 2015, drank on 25 August 2015; 7.3% abv. Pours quite cloudy, deep orange-gold with a creamy, lightly off-white head. Hearty ripe citrus on the nose, with sturdy bready malts as well; some tangerine meringue, melon. Medium sweet flavor, with more rich bready malts, ripe orange and tangerine, slight piney bitterness, suggestions of toffee, papaya, mango. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, resinous and a little sticky, with loads more ripe citrus and tropical fruits, and smooth, mellow bitterness. Perhaps a touch heavier than I recall, but still phenomenal. (25 August 2015, score: 4.4)

Brewtique (11) - Macclesfield, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2014
Bottle from Brewtique, Macclesfield. After hearing many good things about this beer, I was very excited to try it. And lets say, it certainly didnít disappoint. A: This beer is very clear in the bottle. However, once the beer had been chilled slightly, it poured a mirky yellow due to chill haze (a somewhat signature appearance of all Kernel) with a small but tight head. S: Wow, this beer smells amazing. Tropical fruits, pineapple and citrus. Mosaic certainly sums up the aroma from this hop! T: After smelling profusely and tucking in, this beer holds up still. Fresh and very light taste of citrus and pineapple. No hint of the ABV at all, like drinking fruit juice. P: Nice and thin mouthfeel with a little carb, making this beer go down all to easy. O: Amazing IPA, easy to drink and packed full of flavour. Think alcoholic tropical juice. Well done Even.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Mesmerizing that one hop could produce so much complexity. Mango, grapefruit, some floral notes and some nebulous...blueberry??? Thatís a first. Beautifully smooth. Has some herbal notes up front which are consumed by mango and tropical fruits. Some sweet malt in the undergrowth. Finishes with quite a soft bitterness. Thereís also a weird minty quality on the back-end. What an individual beer...maybe an individual hop. Iím taking a shot in the dark and deducing that that is why it is named ímosaicí.
