Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours cloudy gold, with a thin white head. The nose is passion fruit, orange, kumquat, mango, white grape and urine. The taste is orange marmalade, mango, grapefruit, sweet tangerine, brown bread, spice and dirt, with a bitter-dry finish. It starts out with a big sweet orange hit, then smoothes out to more savoury notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation and creamy mouth-feel. One of their best IPA’s to date. Delicious.

Very hazy amber beer. Small fluffy off white head. Softish palate, airy and dry. Rich fruity Nelson hops, earthy, funky but also with sharp grape tartness - marvelous! Rye spice rounds out the beer and blends in perfectly with the Nelson. Creamy malt underneath. Semi dry finish. Really well joined beer. Not tasted anything quite like this before - characterful, tasty and very very drinkable.

Bottle at home in London. Pours cloudy orange a sturdy, frothy white head. Enticing aroma with fine grass, urine, woody pine, candy sugar. Medium sweet flavor with a lovely, sweet bread character, backed with a strong hoppiness. Some toasty malts, wood, toasted sugar, yeast, dry pine needles, ripe fruits. Medium to full bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Warm finish, sticky with sugar and resinous hops, light dryness, faint booze, toast, ripe fruit, pine. A heavy-duty IPA that’s quite good.
