Bottled (thanks Evin!). Amber/pale copper colour, mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some quite bitter wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, some caramelly and some sweet malty notes. Quite balanced and nice, but alternative for being a Kernel one.

Very hazy brown - amber beer, big cream coloured head. The head has a nice sherbet hop orange - lemon, Centennial I would guess? Smooth palate with fine carbonation. Creamy malt. Bitter orange pith. Tangy orange marmalade. Strong green hops with zesty lemon underneath. Pretty bitter finish - the eyelids were starting to twitch - and it lingers. Minerals. A tangy hop treat.

Leighton (6961) - London, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2012
Bottle at home in London. Pours red-gold, almost clear, with a foamy, off-white head. Toasty pine in the nose, some berries and ripe citrus. Nice flavor, medium sweet, with some under ripe grapefruit, dirt, pine, and tangy dark citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sticky, resinous finish, lots of dirty bitterness, plenty of citrus rind, pine sap, grapefruit, mild wood, and toast. A very nice twist on the usual Kernel IPA.

Hazy red, fluffy head. Fine IPA - pines, pepper, fruit, dryness. But it does not stand out compared to some of their other IPAs.

gunnar (3591) - Sandnes, NORWAY - APR 6, 2012
Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Pours deep golden/amber with a huge frothy off-white head. Strong piney hop aroma, sweet orange and marmelade as well. Taste is moderate sweet, thick and sticky, a good body supporting the overall bitter beer, with loads of piney and resiny hops, dry juicy grapefruit. Lingering light sweet and dry bitter, very good and intense.

Scopey (3246) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2012
Bottle and Keg at the Kernel Brewery. It pours cloud dark red, with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is dough, farmyard, leaf, hay, raw hop and a touch of bubblegum. The taste is pine, resin, oily hop, leaf, mandarin, tangerine, marmalade and hay, with a bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well balanced and flavoursome. Delicious!

In bottle, thanks Rich. This was a gusher leaving an opaque, golden amber beer with a decent beige head. Aroma of caramel, treacle, pine and alcohol. Similar flavours and quite bitter. Heavy carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.
