4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, Luvians, St Andrews, Fife. Hazy gold looker with a wee off-white head. Fruit and lovely hop aplenty came banging at the door in the nose. Similarly there was some really fine hoppage on show here flavour-wise .This does everything right. Another treat from the brewery that keeps on giving.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Peaches on the nose. You get a fruity sweetness, oranges and again peach straight up but then you get this hoppy bitterness which just oh so perfectly balances out the sweetness. Wonderful. 2013.08.02

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. White fluffy head with deep tangerine orange beneath. Aroma had wonderful depth but was subdued in comparison with other Kernel beers I have tried. Pineapple, resin, orange peel and floral notes from NS dominate. Decent amount of carbonation gives a bouncy palate with sweet fruit again prominent. The bitterness which ends is beautifully balanced by the citrus and malt. Great balanced beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle
Thanks to leaparsons for the bottle when I met up with him in Leicester. I have tried a couple of the different Kernel IPAs and all have been impressive. This one is no exception. If you ever get a chance to travel to the UK don’t pass on one of the best breweries in the UK.
Aroma / Appearance - The cloudy orange base grows a starchy white head as it builds in the glass. Carbonation lurks in the body. Peaches, oranges, rose hips, and powdered sugar residue from a bag of donut holes create a nice texture that is fruity and bright.
Flavor / Palate - Citrus, lemons, and a fresh bouquet of summer flowers brighten the palate. A creamy balance warms the throat. The bitterness builds in the back of the throat until reaching a pleasing peak. From the first sip to the last it does not disappoint. This is a world class release.
