7.5% bottle from Euston Tap. Best smelling beer ever. End of. Golden complexion, with teeny head. Flavour is not quite as heady and delicious as the scent, but is still great: mango, pineapple, sherbet orange and a slightly burnt finish. Doesn’t taste the strength and is lovely.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy pale orange with a small white head. Aroma of pungent floral hops, loads of pine and biscuity malts. Flavour brings out pungent floral and piney hops, more floral notes, resin and just enough dry malt to back. Extremely flavourful, full of pine, resin and floral notes. Amazing stuff!

Bottle. Lots of sediments in the bottom. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, pineapple and pine. Very fresh mouthfeel, hops jumping all over my palate, creating small taste sensations of flowers and tropical fruits, very refreshing, the bitterness from the simcoe really stands out, nothing extreme, just refreshing and very easy drinkability. Another good one from Kernel.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2013 23rd April 2011 Hazy amber beer. Crisp palate. Creamy pale malt base. Fresh orange hop with a vibrant green edge bordering on herbal. There is both sweet and bitter tones here in perfect balance. Another one of those Kernel beers that just slips down way too easily. The abv is not noticeable at all which could make this a dangerous sessioner! 3.9
29th April 2013 Old Fountain. Keg. Hazy gold - orange beer. Good pale cream coloured head. Palate is slightly viscous with a light crispy minerally carbonation. Fresh orange hops, rich and bitter marmalade. Touches of lemon and grapefruit. Underneath creamy malt does it’s supporting job well. Finishes with fresh orange citrus and peel. Fantabadoozy!

Can’t get enough of that lime jelly, Tropical Starburst, faint spliff and breakfast juice aroma- I’m tempted to not even pour the beer in case it disperses. Sod that; pours like brass with a slight gauziness and fine white collar going nowhere. Bright, surprising taste wrung with lime, orange jelly with tinned mandarins, something powdery and Belgian (La Rulles?). Light, evil, soda-like mouthfeel suiting the corruscating, summery flavours on show. 4204 beers into the adventure I’m starting to isolate the hops that really get me going- Simcoe, it would appear is one of them. Don’t drink grapefruit juice, don’t drink mango lassi, don’t drink Rubicon Guava...drink The Kernel India Pale Ale Simcoe.

A - Dark Orange with a thin head that did not last very long but left sweet sticky lacing and kept a thin film for its entirety.
S - Subdued but sweet floral hops, biscuity malt and orange / citrus zest. Very nicely balanced aroma.
T - Hops, citrus, pine needles, not as sweet and flowery as the smell would have indicated but rather a nice crisp sharp set of flavors and a nutty pine aftertaste that was very dry adn refreshing.
M&D - Silky smooth and near perfect carboation in my opinion. I thought that this was a very drinkable beer as well.

Bottle at home in London. Lou Reed’s Street Hassle plays in the background. Pours a cloudy, golden-orange with a small, white head. Aroma has loads of freshly cut grass, dried citrus fruits, fresh pine. Very fresh overall, folks. Flavor is full, some rich, malty sweetness, juicy hops, sticky sap, bit of citrus rind, touches of honey. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warm finish, quite sticky and sweet, with long-lasting bitterness engulfing the mouth. Resinous pine, notes of grass, wood and dirt. Great beer.

33cl bottle at the brewery. Pours a clear golden/orange color with a huge white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity, with mango and lemon zest. Taste is again very hoppy with average bitterness for an IPA. Nice grassy citrusy notes. Medium body and lively carbonation. Overall, very nice and balanced IPA, yet with of fruity flavors. Outstanding.
