On tap at brewery, loved this one! Cloudy pale golden yellow colour, beautiful tropical IPA aroma’s, very well balanced fresh taste, with a slight citrusy bitterness. Not too sweet, medium to full bodied creamy mouth feel, alcohol seemed fairly well hidden for 7%. Refreshing and very easy to drink!

On tap, poured a beautiful solid pale gold. Subtle fruit notes, great hoppy taste with a bitter but balanced finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33 cl. bottle sampled @ RBESG 2013. Thx! to chriso & Boudicca. Hazy golden with creamy white bubbles. Nose is full citrus hops, light medicinal touch, lemon, hint earthly, touch grass. Taste is sweet slightly yoghurt like yeast, fuller typical Kernel yeast, bitter spices & lemon, garden herbs, some bitter herbs. Full yeast body as usual, some white bread sweetness touch from the yeast. Similar but very solid Kernel brew as always.

So what to enter for my 10K rating? Not my 10K beer because I’ve yet to wrestle my backlog completely under control. So a good double whammy to also enter my 200th Kernel. A brewery that has given me so much pleasure over the last few years - it’s quite rude! Very hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with mild carbonation. Creamy malt, trace of lactose. Strong floral Motueka does nice things to the Stella - tames it a bit! Whisper of skunk. Citrus spice and a touch of pineapple cube sweets. Dry and slightly creamy finish. Excellent balance of these 2 diverse hops and as always with this fantastic brewery - effortlessly drinkable!

330ml bottle. Opaque orange amber with a low white head. Huge guava, Starburst, lime, warm OJ, triple sec, curry leaf and blackcurrant chew nose. Soapy, floral, deeply bitter and nutty flavour with liquorice, bitter orange and lavender hop. Soft, almost still condition. No surprises: typically murky, aromatic Kernel with exotic hop and deep grounding malt.

bottled on 07/05/13. Pours cloudy orange colour with white head. Big aroma - floral, tropical fruit juice, pineapple, some orange and a slight funkiness. Nice and full in mouth. Sweetness first, then big grapefruit, good earthiness with an edge of vegg maybe (see what I did there), then citrus tonic bitterness to finish. Well balanced too. Tasty.

Pours a golden beer with a good white head. Smells fruity. I like the taste. Fruity with a good bitter finish.

Bottle. Hazy amber beer with an offwhite head. Fruity, hoppy and sweet aroma. Hoppy, a bit grassy and sweet flavour. Sweet but with a nice balance.

Bottle from a trade with madmitc76, tasted in Callander, Scotland. Pours hazy golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma is moderate sweet pale malts, with distinct floral hops. Taste is complex bitter hops, flowers meets citrus and plays together well. A very nice herbal and minty bite at the end.

Pale warm golden colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, resin, weed, onion and caramel. Bitter hoppy flavour, fruity, malts and caramel. Bitter hoppy finish, resin. Nice, raw hoppy brew.
(From 33cL bottle @ RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting, Bodegraven. Thanks for sharing, chriso & Boudicca!)
