4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jackl (2598) - London, Greater London, - JUN 16, 2012Bottle @ the brewery. Deep amber color with a small white head. The nose is pineapple spiked cream cheese, raspberry and clotted cream. The taste is funky cheese and pineapple, some raspberry and strawberry, light tobacco and grassy hops. Overall, excellent and quite flavorful.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Osprey87 (547) - London via, WALES - MAR 20, 2013
May 2012 - Glass at the Brewery. Really hoppy, severely woody, smokey - possibly the most bitter, hoppy beer I’ve ever had. Too much for me. No balance.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 teddybeer (1484) - Madrid, SPAIN - DEC 28, 2012
On tap @ Animal. Hazy golden colour, with a white head, very good lasting and nice lacework. Aroma is hoppy, floral, citrusy, notes of pine and resins. Flavor is strong bittery with a good duration but very good balanced. Smooth on palate with resins notes.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DruncanVeasey (6116) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2012
500ml bottle, dregs and all. Misted yellow-gold with a loose-bubbled, patchy end-of-festival head barely covering the beer. Fine, bristling, tropical aroma with suggestions of pineapple, passion fruit, Sauvignon Blanc, celery and blackcurrant. A beer that smells that good cannot fail to taste good and doesn’t; deeply stewed, husky flavour rasping with breakfast juice bitterness and peanut-like malt. Complex and balanced for a single hop with melon, grapefruit, pineapple and strawberry chew notes. Lingers dryly and soapily. Stella is a top 5 hop of mine right now.

330ml bottle (Bottle Shop, Canterbury)
Lovely crisp zesty aroma. Full body, but crispened with gentle carbonation, and biting citrussy bitterness. Taste also zesty. Another vey solid IPA from Kernel.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mike_77 (1961) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle - 7.5%. Hazy orange colour. Aroma has sweet fruits especially melon. Texture is very soft and creamy. There’s a good malt balance to this IPA. Some orange oils in the flavour. Bitterness is medium but relatively light for an IPA. Leaves a warming afterglow.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 FaithHealer1 (330) - SCOTLAND - AUG 2, 2012
Bottle from Beer Ritz (vs Kernel Summit w/dantheman278 on SkypePA Day). Pours the classic Kernel hazy orange. Aroma is grassy hops, something slightly earthy as well. A hint of perfume, and is that Brazil nut?! Taste is similar - predictable hoppy kick to it, with a bit of a grassy/floral note to it. A really odd slight pistachio nut note on the end of it. Clean finish, lovely aftertaste. Classic Kernel - predictably brilliant.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 DanielBrown (3175) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2012
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Pours a dark orange, with a trim Brazilian head. Smells like a good, rather than spectacular IPA. As a flavour experience it is remarkably solid: pineapple, orange and a nice bitter finish, crunchingly so. The strength is a bonus and warms pleasantly. Another winner.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 RichardW (1157) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - JUL 5, 2012
Bottle Rehills Ncl. Powerful aroma of tangerine, floral notes and tropical fruit. Quite a prickly initial tang but a big creaminess comes in behind it. Strong finish, with plenty of sharpness and a good bitter smack.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 gunnar (3599) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2012
Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Pours hazy golden with a moderate sized creamy white head. Aroma of citrus and flowers. Taste is crisp and fresh citrus, lingering till the end. Medium body and smooth mouthfeel. Strong bitter and dry end, mint and citrus, a good one, again.
