Hazed mid amber with a thin off white head.
Nose is pine, hops, light grapefruit, touch of mango.

Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter finish.
Decent enough solid IPA but at 6 months old perhaps not fresh enough to enjoy at its optimum!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jamestulloch (477) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 19, 2012
Aroma: Honeycomb, resin and orange. Slightly herbal and floral.
Appearance: Murky, copper body with a small, chalk white head. Slight lacing.
Taste: Sweet pine, honeycomb and caramel flavour, with a peppery, bitter finish.
Palate: Medium body with a slightly oily, slightly foamy texture. Flat carbonation.
Overall: I had a 7.5% ABV version. It’s sweet and a little peppery - not one of my Kernel favourites, but it’s still pretty good.

(Bottle) Pours cloudy orange amber with a small, sand coloured head. The aroma holds resinous wood and citrus (lemon, grapefruit, lime and tart oranges) up front with undertones of earth, bread, light straw and a touch of minerals. The flavor is light near dry, near heavily bitter and light acidic with lots of citrus and wood. Undertones of flowers, dry bread and touch of fruits. The mouthfeel is clean, soft and light astringent with a light carbonation. Long citric finish. Near medium bodied.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured into a yawning, eager glass. Smells immense. Wow, this is super bitter IPA: enormous grapefruity dryness, with puckering bitterness and tropicaaal notes. Really good.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Jacob23_5 (128) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 9, 2012
Bottle. Orange colour with smallish white head. Aromas of bitter orange, touch of pine. Quite intense orange with lighter apricot notes and a strong bitter finish with pine and almost blood-orange. Very nice, maybe could do with being a touch fizzier, but that’s nitpicking really.
