Bottle from City Beverage Co. on Old Street. 330ml. Pours very thick, yellow-cream head that diminishes to a covering that remains. Hazy, transparent, light orange-yellow. Very light carbonation. Aroma - Faint, tropical fruit; like tropical flavoured sweets. Sweet citrus. An indistinct mix of fruity aromas, maybe mandarin, pineapple, banana, possibly some lychee, but generally just sweet, estery fruit, though not that strong, at least for a Kernel IPA. Cereally, sweet malt. Taste - Lightly sweet at first, then turning lightly bitter. Simple, light sweet malt. Delicate fruit & some floral flavours, fairly complex. Some tropical fruit & sweet, estery oil. Some citrus. Spicy. Fair amount of bitter resin towards the end. Nutty malt towards end, slightly dry finish. Body is mid-light. Not an intensely fruity hop, more subtle, unusual flavours, with good bitterness.
