3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Murky brown. Tan head. Sweet tropical fruits, piney hops. Tastes of tropical fruits, slight roasted bitter coffee, really bitter finish. Too much bitterness from the hops without enough malt balance, but still very good.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle, purchased at the brewery outlet) Dark brown colour with lasting, creamy, beige head. Malty, hoppy taste with chocolate, roasted malt, dark bread, grapefruit and pine needles. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of toasty malt, dark bread, chocolate, raisins and lots of citric, piney hops in a fairly bitter finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Very tasty and well balanced. Excellent beer!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ home. Muddy brown with a big tan head. The aroma is sweet chestnut, coffee, light chocolate and caramel. Dark fruits. Dry hay. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, grassy hops and pumpernickel bread. Some salt and cracked black pepper. Light blackberry. Medium body, prickly carbonation. Overall, decent. The labeling on the bottle suggests this was a pre-expansion bottle, so I’d imagine this is drinking a bit tired.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Murky brown, firm and frothy tan head. Fresh forest aroma, fresh roast, pine, dark chocolate hint and dry grass. Good balanced bitterness and well interchange between the darker notes and hops. Loads of yeast residue: be careful. Tasty. (33cl bottle, thanks to Leighton for the trade)

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pretty bad - no bottling date so assuming fresh. This is all hop bitterness and dank, nothing to speak of in terms of hops. No real malt character. Craft.

Lovely nut brown beer, great aroma, good bodied. Fruity and complex. Much prefered this to the last beer I had, thanks to my nephew.
